About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Control Advisor to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for guiding all activities related to fire protection, risk engineering, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys at client facilities to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Produce comprehensive risk reports, including underwriting reports, risk assessments, and recommendation reports.
  • Develop and implement risk control programs for large clients, including loss estimates and calculations.
  • Support brokers in the placement process by providing information on risk exposures and insurer subjectivities.
  • Advise clients on risk exposures and control measures, and develop recommendations to minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in risk management and fire protection.
Requirements
  • Experience in risk control, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of NFPA and FM standards, as well as building construction and related codes.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
