Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labourer to join our team at Doman Building Materials Group Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating lumber handling equipment, wrapping and banding lumber, and maintaining a clean and organized yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate lumber handling equipment at various wood stacking machinery.
  • Band and wrap lumber to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Occasionally hand pile wood and maintain a clean and organized yard.
  • Service production machines and adhere to all work safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to customer service commitments.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and ability to count and identify various lumber products.
  • Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable.
  • Must have own steel-toed boots and be able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
  • Bending, lifting, and reaching during the course of the shift.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Forklift certification and Level Three First Aid are assets.

Work Environment:

Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may change due to operational requirements.
