Job Summary

Brampton Crematorium & Visitation Centre INC. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Funeral Director Assistant to join our team. As a Funeral Director Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the funeral director in planning and coordinating funeral services, ensuring that every family receives exceptional care and attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Family Consultation: Meet with families of the deceased to discuss funeral arrangements and related services, providing guidance and support to ensure their needs are met.
  • Preparation and Planning: Assist in the preparation of remains, plan and schedule funeral services, and coordinate burials and cremations.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Arrange for the transfer of remains from the place of death to the funeral home, and coordinate with other service providers as needed.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families, funeral directors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a relevant education program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a funeral home or death care setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
