Job Type:

EightSix Network is seeking a skilled Surveillance System Technician to join our team. As a Surveillance System Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of surveillance equipment, including surveillance cameras, digital recording systems, and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·Service, support, and install large comprehensive integrated electronic security systems, including complex access control, CCTV, and digital recording systems

·Ensure the functioning of surveillance and security systems through maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and additions

·Adhere to departmental quality standards and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures

Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·A minimum education level of a post-secondary diploma in the Electronics Engineering Technician field or equivalent working experience and education

·Experience in the related field of one or more years

·Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

·Working knowledge of alarm panels, systems, card access, video matrix, and digital recording systems, which includes necessary operating systems. General knowledge of electronics, components, construction, and cabling standards

·Basic electronics (including but not limited to general understanding of computer hardware and operating systems, as well as fundamentals of programming)

·General understanding of building/fire codes, proficient mechanical aptitude, low voltage, and network cabling standards

·The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
