Culinary Specialist

Job Summary
The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for clients/residents, maintaining inventory levels of food and supplies, and ensuring the rotation of food and supplies. The Specialist maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.
Requirements
- Recognized course in Food Safe 1 and 2 and training in quality food production with a diploma from a recognized course, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention course preferred.
Key Skills
- Effective communication in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Empathy and ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds and challenges.
- Ability to adjust recipes and maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
- Physical capabilities to lift, stoop, and stand for extended periods in a warm environment.
