We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our DevOps team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions to ensure the security and integrity of our databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Monitor database performance and implement changes as needed to optimize performance
  • Provide technical support for database issues encountered by users
  • Assist in database design and changes in database architecture
  • Implement and oversee database policies and procedures to ensure data security and integrity
  • Manage database access and collaborate with IT security to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers, and multimedia programmers
  • Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of working experience as a Database Administrator
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
  • Familiarity with programming languages API
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
