Job Title: Skilled Painter and Decorator

 

We are seeking an experienced painter and decorator to join our team at Quality General Contracting Inc.

 

Job Summary:

 

This is a skilled trade position that requires the individual to possess excellent painting and decorating skills, as well as strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint and wallpaper, and ensuring a high level of finish on all work completed.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparation and Painting: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks. Apply paint and wallpaper to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Surface Repair: Identify and repair damaged or worn-out surfaces, including holes, cracks, and dents.
  • Estimation and Measurement: Measure and estimate materials required for each project, ensuring accurate calculations and efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising clients on color choices and providing guidance on wall coverings and finishes.
  • Physical Demands: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting.

 

Requirements:

 

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 7 months of experience in painting and decorating.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Strong physical abilities, including hand-eye coordination and color recognition.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Compensation:

 

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
