Key Responsibilities- Clinical Duties
- Examine patients' teeth, gums, and surrounding tissue to diagnose dental diseases and develop treatment plans.
- Clean teeth and restore, extract, and replace diseased and decayed teeth.
- Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery, and other treatments as needed.
- Administrative Tasks
- Plan and coordinate dental health treatment with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for use by denturists and dental technicians.
- Education and Training
- Ensure licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and maintain certification from the National Dental Examining Board of Canada.
- Education
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Experience
- Experience in the field of dentistry is an asset.
- Skills
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
