We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nursing Unit Clerk to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. As a casual employee, you will have the opportunity to work in various areas of the hospital, including medical, surgical, and ambulatory care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and process physicians' orders
  • Act as a communication link for the unit
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Assemble and maintain patient charts and input data into relevant systems
  • Perform clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports
  • Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff
  • Observe patient call signals and relay messages to appropriate personnel

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
  • A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate
  • Resume and cover letter stating preferred work area, casual availability, and availability to start in a new position
