The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drawing IV: Expressivity, a course that focuses on the development of a pictorial language and personal expression through the use of various drawing vocabularies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Drawing IV: Expressivity, a course that explores the subjective nature of drawing and the response to visual and tactile perceptions.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes the development of a pictorial language and personal expression through drawing.
  • Assess student work and provide feedback to ensure students meet the course learning objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of the Department of Visual Arts and the University of Ottawa.

Requirements

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree.
  • Established reputation and exhibition record in painting, drawing, and contemporary art.
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
