We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Inuvik Regional Hospital in the Northwest Territories.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide culturally sensitive care to residents in the 25-bed Long Term Care unit, working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Personal Support Workers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Determine resident status at weekly team meetings
- Respond to actual or potential health problems
- Plan and perform interventions
- Evaluate resident outcomes
The LPN in Long Term Care will be responsible for making independent day-to-day decisions regarding individual nursing care plans based on written medical orders verified by an RN on duty.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate and two years recent experience within a long-term care setting.
