Our flagship product, the V-One, is a multi-functional desktop PCB printer designed for rapid prototyping and education in traditional, rigid electronics.

Our newest product, NOVA, is the world's first direct-write printer for soft, flexible, and stretchable electronics. It's designed to push the boundaries of what's possible.

About the Role

  • Lead UI/UX design activities for product development from start to finish.
  • Design intuitive hardware-software applications for efficient and safe task completion.
  • Develop a design asset library for product development.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to weigh design pros and cons.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to align with product development strategy and grow Voltera's brand.
  • Verify user interface designs at alpha and beta stages, conduct validations, and formal usability testing with end users before product launch.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, or user experience design.
  • Post-secondary education in design or a relevant field.
  • Experience with design software like Figma, Adobe Creative Suites, Sketch.
  • Strong product thinking abilities, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent understanding of fundamental design principles and human interaction principles.
  • Ability to present concepts clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with atomic design principles for user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Mantine UI.

Working Conditions

  • Must work from our office in Waterloo at least three days per week.
