Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services team, you will be responsible for coordinating, performing, and evaluating Diagnostic Services examinations, guiding and directing clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform Diagnostic Services examinations, ensuring high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.
  • Guide and direct clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide seamless patient care, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Operate state-of-the-art equipment, including Operating Room O-Arm, and maintain a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Diagnostic Imaging.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology.
  • Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Professional designation of Registered Medical Radiology Technologist (MRT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment, with effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Evidence of participation in ongoing education and professional development.
Working Conditions

Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (standby as required). Hamilton Health Sciences fosters a culture of patient and staff safety, with a focus on respect, caring, innovation, and accountability.
