We started as a single gas bar in downtown Winnipeg but have since expanded into a co-operative with multiple locations across Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. Our fleet of trucks delivers fuel to farm and commercial accounts in these regions. Career Opportunities
This role offers a chance for advancement within Red River Co-op, which is part of the vast Co-operative Retailing System that encompasses 160 retail Co-ops across western Canada. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will contribute to the development of financial models, forecasts, and budgets while collaborating with operations teams to provide financial support and guidance.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly expenses analysis and provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
• Assist the Senior Director, Finance in the annual budgeting process, including assisting business units in creating budgets and forecasts to meet operational goals.
• Analyze and report on the financial impact associated with key strategic initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance key performance indicators to highlight operational performance.
• Maintain and enhance financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational models.
• Create financial data and models to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with operations teams to provide financial support where required, including financial analysis to understand the implications of ongoing projects, potential opportunities, and problems experienced.
• Work with finance and accounting in a continuous improvement environment, identify areas for process improvement, and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial systems.
• Support financial strategic projects and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations accordingly.

Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
• A post-secondary education in Commerce or Business.
• Professional designation or certification preferred.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, emphasizing complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, managers, and negotiate effectively to manage project deliverables.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and results-driven, diligent, and working with a sense of urgency.
• Strong critical and analytical skills,
and motivated, flexible, and possessing a strong work ethic.
