Job Title: Research Project Assistant, Hereditary Cancer

BC Cancer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Project Assistant to support our Hereditary Cancer research program. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the execution of research studies, conduct literature searches, and participate in data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct literature searches on various topics related to hereditary cancer, including genetic mutations and cancer risk factors.
  • Compile and maintain databases of relevant research articles and studies.
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports and presentations.
  • Participate in data entry and analysis, including statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Collaborate with research team members to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, genetics, or epidemiology.
  • 2 years of experience in research support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software, such as R or SPSS.
