We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Assistant Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, directing production and merchandising, and supervising department staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and personalized experience for all customers.
  • Direct and supervise department staff, including training and development.
  • Assist in the ordering and merchandising of commercial bread and other bakery products.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a well-organized production area and retail floor.
  • Adhere to the In Store Bakery Program and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years' previous work experience in a retail environment, preferably in a bakery or related field.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
