Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation material
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, and taping
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Estimate costs and materials for insulation projects
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
Work Environment

The Insulation Specialist will work in a variety of construction settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial sites. The work environment may be dusty and confined, requiring the ability to work in tight spaces.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in insulation installation or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
