Senior Backend Developer - Java

At NearSource Technologies, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping innovative solutions and driving technological progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document software components to meet business and operational goals.
  • Write high-quality code incorporating unit and integration testing to ensure robust functionality.
  • Architect and build RESTful APIs using Java within a microservices framework.
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold high coding standards.
  • Stay current with new technologies and advocate for their adoption within the team.
  • Collaborate with the team to swiftly diagnose and resolve code-level issues.
  • Demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • 8+ years of extensive backend programming experience.
  • Proficiency in Java 8/11, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Expertise in implementing microservices using Spring Boot and Spring JPA.
  • Practical experience in developing and integrating RESTful web services with diverse clients.
  • Familiarity with AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Docker and Jenkins is a plus.
