Job Requirements

  • Possess a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Technologist (P.Tech) accreditation.
  • Hold valid membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
  • Have stamping authority in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering and design.
  • Apply required codes and standards with confidence.
  • Develop strong knowledge of NFPA standards, FM requirements, and other fire protection methodologies.
  • Proficient in computer-assisted design with AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with HydraCAD is an asset.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of standards and codes governing the design and installation of automatic fire protection systems.
