Computer Network Technician

3CTech Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, install software, and maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- Problem-Solving: Provide problem-solving services to network users, implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Network Setup: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, with a focus on computer technology or computer systems technology.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in the field of computer network administration.
- Skills: Proficiency in IBM AS/400, MAC, Linux, JavaOS, device drivers, networking software, networking hardware, networking security, Internet, servers, desktop applications, file management software, security software, multimedia software, word processing software, presentation software, mail server software, communication software, image editing software, project management software, programming software, HTML editing software, information technology, SharePoint, database software, programming languages, software development, MS Office, MS Windows, spreadsheet, Amazon Web Services (AWS), firewall, and MS Active Directory.
- Certifications: Basic security clearance, confidential security clearance, and a criminal record check.
As a Computer Network Technician at 3CTech Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks. You must have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and be able to work in a team environment.
