Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to infants and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care and supervision to infants and children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, promoting healthy eating habits and a positive relationship with food.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and engaging environment, including setting up play areas, preparing activities, and ensuring a clean and organized space.
  • Develop and implement activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, such as games, outings, and educational programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on daily activities, meals, and any notable events or milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with other childcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in childcare or a related field
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move children and equipment as needed
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work term is permanent.
