About the Role

This position is responsible for designing and developing digital experiences that meet the needs of our customers and align with Scotiabank's goals.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, with a passion for creating visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality digital products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our digital experiences.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to junior designers to help them grow and develop their skills.
  • Participate in the development of design principles and standards to ensure consistency across our digital products.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture within the design team and across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrable history of applying design thinking and user-centered design principles to challenges at work or in everyday life.
