Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

At LEARNING TREE CHILDCARE, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the well-being and growth of children.
  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that encourage learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that promote socialization, creativity, and self-expression.
  • Support children in developing healthy habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Contribute to staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and nurturing environment that promotes children's health and well-being.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Permanent work term
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
