About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at NearSource Technologies. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large-scale data architectures to support complex business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, modular code using Python and SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Work closely with data scientists and product managers to develop and deploy data products.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data systems.
  • Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure, including ETL workflows and data warehouses.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders to communicate complex data insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training or experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in big data systems, data processing, and SQL databases.
  • 3+ years of experience in coding with Spark, data frames, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, dimensional modeling, and analytical big data warehouses like Hive and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with ETL workflow management tools like Airflow.
  • Experience working with BI tools like Looker.
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins CI.
