About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings team in Ottawa or Timmins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate building systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing, in accordance with current codes and standards.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and technicians to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Coordinate with designers to optimize general arrangements, equipment selection, piping, and ductwork layouts.
  • Assist with workload management of technicians and designers to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Identify and respond to client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and estimate development for engineering services.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals and software tools to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
  • Complete site reviews during construction and report on observations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
