We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Platinum Produce Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and Troubleshoot Irregularities: Identify and resolve issues with machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of defective parts to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Fabricate and Install Parts: Create and install custom parts as needed to support equipment overhauls and maintenance.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Site Environment: You will work at heights and in various work settings.
  • Work Setting: This role involves maintenance and repair work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Tasks: You will perform a variety of tasks, including detecting and troubleshooting irregularities, repairing or replacing defective machinery parts, and fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in a maintenance or repair role is an asset.
  • Welding Techniques: You should be proficient in oxy-acetylene welding (OAW) techniques.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, power tools, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, welding equipment, and hand tools is required.
