Job Summary:

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is seeking dedicated and student-focused Substitute Educational Assistants to support students when regular staff are unavailable. As a Substitute Educational Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a certificated teacher and be an integral part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in a classroom setting, providing assistance with academic and personal needs.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation, as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to PWPSD's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a classroom setting is an asset.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to meet outside of school hours, as required.
  • Ability to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care, as needed.
