Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Pluse Freight Systems. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Hardworking and patient individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Reliability and ability to work independently.
