Compensation and Benefits
This full-time regular position comes with a competitive salary range of $46,886 to $53,579 (5 step range) in Pay Band 6, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Description
As a Radiation Therapist I at Health Careers in Sask, you will be responsible for preparing, planning, and delivering accurate and precise ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients according to the prescription of a Radiation Oncologist. Your daily work functions will be supervised by a Radiation Therapist II, who will provide guidance and support to ensure that you are meeting the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and planning of radiation treatments according to the prescription of a Radiation Oncologist
- Delivery of accurate and precise ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients
- Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintenance of high standards of patient confidentiality and privacy
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Radiation Therapy
- Certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C
- Licensure with Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT)
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and judgment skills
