Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate heating and cooling loads
  • Design duct systems
  • Manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fibreglass elements
  • Manufacture and assemble water evacuation systems for buildings
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
  • Operate laser cutters
  • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
  • Schedule work
  • Develop computerized pattern and layout
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Fitting and joining sheet metal parts
Requirements
  • Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
  • Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification
  • Canadian Welding Bureau Certification
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Forklift Operator Certification
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. You must be willing to work in a noisy environment at heights and be able to travel to various locations.
