We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Banquet Porter to join our team at Nova Hotels. As a Banquet Porter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are always demonstrated when assisting and serving guests of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities- Event Setup and Execution: Prepare, set up, and deliver what is required pertaining to the Banquet Event Order, ensuring seamless execution of events.
- Room Maintenance: Clean and maintain banquet rooms and related public areas, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain banquet department equipment, storage, and work areas, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Provide value-added service to customers to meet or exceed customer expectations, communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Teamwork: Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting at the hostess station, prioritizing and planning work activities to ensure efficient execution of events.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all walls, tables, floors, chairs, and whiteboards are clean after each event and that the room is restocked with the appropriate items.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with audio visual contractors to ensure proper set up, and report any concerns related to Maintenance, Health and Safety, Security or Suspicious circumstances to the appropriate leader.
- Interpersonal Skills: Maintain confidentiality, actively listen to others without interrupting or distractions, and maintain a positive attitude even in negative situations.
- Teamwork: Balance team and individual responsibilities, exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views, and contribute to building a positive team spirit.

The work environment is a setting, which has the following conditions: low noise environment; high traffic area for internally and external guests, exposure to office equipment such as photocopier, fax and telephone, potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests.
