Transformative Infrastructure Role:

RideCo is revolutionizing the transportation technology industry, and we're seeking a talented DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to join our agile team. As a pioneer in this exciting field, you'll design, build, and manage our cloud infrastructure and internal engineering infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, automated, and highly available systems.
  • Lead architectural changes to improve performance and uptime.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting systems, both technically and culturally.
  • Build or introduce tools to streamline development and deployment.
  • Architect real-time distributed applications.
  • Work with diverse stacks, including stateful and stateless services.
  • Improve auto-scaling and self-healing capabilities.
  • Maximize cloud resource utilization while balancing performance and cost.
  • Plan and execute OS and application upgrades in the cloud.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Computer Science or Software Engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development environments.
  • System administration experience (Linux).
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD, Jenkins) experience.
  • Experience building highly-available distributed applications.
  • Monitoring and alerting application experience (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Cloud expertise (AWS, EC2, ECS, RDS).
  • Strong predilection for automation (IaC, Terraform).
  • Strong scripting skills and experience building diverse tooling (Python, Shell).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Python programming language and web application development experience (Django, Flask, Gunicorn).
  • Web server deployment and performance tuning experience (nginx).
  • Container-based build infrastructure experience (Docker, pipelines).
  • Database experience (PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • High availability caching experience (Redis, nginx proxy).
  • Highly available distributed task queue experience (RabbitMQ).
  • Container orchestration experience (Kubernetes, ECS).
  • Agile build and development process experience.
  • Excitement for learning new domains and skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000 + performance-based bonus + stock options.
