Job Title: Child Care Live-In Caregiver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced live-in caregiver to provide high-quality child care for our family. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Cook

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work Environment: The work environment is non-smoking, and the work setting is in the employer's home in an urban area.

Language: English or French

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
