Job Summary:

Honda of Canada Mfg. is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing reports, and analyzing financial data to help us achieve our targeted profitability levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare short-term and long-term capital investment plans, including internal and external reports and analysis.
  • Provide support and guidance to engineers and cost leads for investment planning, asset capitalization, and disposal.
  • Manage depreciation calculation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Analyze investment variances and create monthly results tracking and reporting.
  • Lead yearly fixed asset audit activities, including physical counts and reporting results.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, asset account reconciliations, and tax reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, SOX, and HCM accounting guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain and manage budgeting systems in SAP.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
