Mental Health Nurse

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides high-quality patient care in a dynamic and interdisciplinary team environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life
- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to advance nursing practice
- Maintaining and advancing clinical competence through ongoing education and training
- Contributing to designated hospital committees and research projects as assigned
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced inpatient psychiatric unit, providing care to patients with acute mental health challenges. Our team is dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery through a holistic approach, incorporating nutrition, exercise, and therapy.
We are seeking a self-directed and motivated mental health-trained nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and is committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
About this location/unit:
Vernon Jubilee Hospital's Mental Health Department provides services for adolescents, adults, and psycho-geriatric patients in the North Okanagan region. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
