Job Title: Instrumentation Technician - Field

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team at OpTest Equipment Inc. in a field-based role.

Job Summary:

The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various instruments and systems in the field. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test instruments and systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Repair and maintain instruments and systems, including replacing defective parts and calibrating components
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of work performed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as instrumentation or electronics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in instrumentation or a related field
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of instrumentation and control systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
