The Role

As an Associate on our Investment Management team, you'll support Equity and Fixed Income teams in analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and producing reports on publicly traded companies. Your role will provide valuable insights and recommendations to the investment team, enabling informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Competencies
  1. Conduct comprehensive sector analysis and review existing investments to generate new ideas.
  2. Prepare financial models and projections to evaluate security valuations and support your investment recommendations.
  3. Support the Fixed Income team with fundamental credit analysis, including financial modeling, due diligence, and credit analysis.
  4. Communicate your investment thesis through verbal and written reports.
  5. Maintain active engagement with Research Analysts regarding company news and developments.
  6. Provide analytical and financial modeling support to Research Analysts.
  7. Develop strong relationships with Research Analysts to support investment decisions.
  8. Stay up-to-date on political and economic trends affecting investment decisions.
  9. Demonstrate passion for capital markets and commitment to learning.
  10. Exercise autonomy in tasks, seeking guidance when necessary.
Security Selection and Recommendation
  1. Develop a solid understanding of financial and market analysis using various tools and styles.
  2. Create a financial valuation model.
  3. Demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and modeling skills.
  4. Broaden your experience across geographic regions and sectors.
  5. Develop stock selection and decision-making skills.
  6. Share insights, ideas, and views with colleagues.
  7. Collaborate with Analysts and Senior Analysts to develop unique perspectives.

Requirements

This role requires relevant industry experience, demonstrated financial analytical and research skills, proficiency in valuation and financial modeling, a track record of stock picking ability, sound knowledge of corporate finance and equity markets, self-motivation, results-driven behavior, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

A CFA designation or working towards it is highly valued; an MBA is also considered beneficial.
