Director, Centre for Learning and Innovation

Assiniboine Community College is seeking a visionary leader to helm its Centre for Learning and Innovation. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Student Affairs, the Director will be responsible for driving innovative educational strategies and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of 7 direct reports
  • Develop and implement institutional educational strategies
  • Oversee pedagogical development, including curriculum design and education technology integration
  • Foster alignment between Centre strategies and institutional goals
  • Collaborate with college leaders, faculty, and external partners to enhance teaching methodologies and promote a culture of teaching and learning excellence
  • Champion initiatives to foster inclusivity and diversity within the learning environment
  • Manage the Centre's resources effectively to support its mission and objectives
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in education, instructional design, or a related field
  • Previous teaching experience and active connections to relevant national professional associations
  • Extensive leadership experience in education, particularly in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead quality assurance processes and integrate technological advancements into education for improved outcomes
