Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Child Care Provider to care for children in our home. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, be able to provide a safe and healthy environment, and be able to establish a positive relationship with the children and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and supervision to infants and children
  • Establish a positive relationship with the children and their families
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Supervise and care for children during activities and outings
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children
  • Help children with homework and other activities
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience working with children
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently
  • Initiative and ability to take direction
  • Judgement and ability to make decisions
  • Organized and reliable
  • Patience and ability to work with children of different ages
  • Honesty and integrity
Work Environment:

The work environment is non-smoking and the employer's home is the primary work site. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis.

A criminal record check is required for this position.
