New Horizon Co-op is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at our Downtown Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare standard cuts of meat according to specifications
- Wrap, label, and package prepared meats
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding different cuts, serving sizes, and product-related questions in a courteous and well-informed manner
- Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and fully operational
- Perform duties in compliance with established health and safety regulations
- Assist other departments as needed, including unloading freight and stocking shelves
- Enthusiastic approach to work with strong leadership skills
- Availability to work on a flexible schedule (morning and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends)
- Practical working knowledge of daily retail operations
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Can handle cool temperatures, and heavy lifting may be required, up to 50lbs
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous Meat Cutting experience is an asset
