Eating Disorders Clinician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced eating disorders clinician to join our team at EHN Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the complexities of eating disorders and will be able to provide individualized nutrition counseling to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments with clients and their families, including diet histories and determining healthy weight ranges.
  2. Develop and lead group nutrition education sessions and collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized meal plans.
  3. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including medical staff, clinical therapists, and support staff.
  5. Keep detailed records of clients' progress and treatment goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered dietitian (RD) qualification
  • Knowledge of eating disorder etiology
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience working with clients in a mental health setting, with experience in inpatient or outpatient settings and working with adolescents and young adults considered an asset.
  • Experience leading groups and facilitating individual assessments considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including family-based therapy (FBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
