About the Job

This exciting opportunity exists to join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst - Accounting Specialist, covering a 12-18 month maternity leave period. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Complete month-end tasks including journal entries, and the monthly revenue reconciliation with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analyze Balance Sheet and P&L account variances/movements using analytical skills and assess various financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and identify reconciling items on Balance Sheet reconciliations, addressing root causes in consultation with other staff members.
  • Support the completion of monthly consolidated financial statements that accurately reflect the financial performance of the company.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team within the group of companies to ensure seamless integration of financial processes and procedures.
  • Liaise with business partners in the corporate office to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Finance (or similar) is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
  • Familiarity with financial and operating systems, with excellent English skills (written and oral).
  • Previous experience within a travel-related business is a bonus.
