About the Role

Hub International Ontario Limited is seeking a highly skilled Investment Research Manager to join our team. As a key member of our investment research team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive investment research, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research processes and tools, including ESG research.
  • Train and mentor junior research analysts in research methodologies.
  • Set the firm's research agenda and priorities.
  • Manage the research team, conduct performance reviews, and align resources with research demands.
  • Conduct detailed interviews with investment managers, gathering insights for thorough evaluation.
  • Analyze and document extensive qualitative and quantitative data on investment managers, contributing to client project materials.
  • Proactively research and monitor investment managers, responding to ad-hoc inquiries and enhancing manager evaluation processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred.
  • Completion of CFA program or equivalent.
  • Substantial investment management experience, with a focus on manager research.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with an understanding of operational aspects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborative approach with proficiency in working independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
