About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Ducks Unlimited Canada. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in providing technical support, training, and analysis for our geospatial databases, applications, and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in project teams providing GIS support, spatial analysis, modeling, and decision support.
- Develop, acquire, manage, and distribute geospatial databases and metadata in accordance with project plans and DUC standards.
- Provide GIS technical expertise and training in software, applications, and data use to enhance GIS skills among staff.
- Develop and document applications and projects in collaboration with other GIS/IS professionals.
- Effectively communicate DUC's use of GIS to internal and external audiences and participate in the development of GIS-based partnerships.
Requirements
- University degree in GIS, Natural Resources, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related discipline; or Technical School diploma in GIS with several years related work experience.
- Minimum three years experience in the development and use of Natural Resources GIS applications using raster and vector data sets and GIS software, preferably ESRI products.
- Ability to listen and translate user needs into a series of GIS procedures used to generate products that meet those needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.

Position Details
- Full-time, Permanent
- Salary Range: Starting salary at $65,100, based on a 35-hour work week. Salary for this position will commensurate with each individual's education and/or experience as it relates to the position.
- Location: Hybrid/Remote within Canada, with preference to be located in Manitoba.
