We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Inspector to join our Scarborough Subway Extension Project team.

As an Environmental Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with our Environmental Management System (EMS) and contributing to the overall success of our project.

About the Role:

The Environmental Inspector will be responsible for conducting regular monitoring and inspections of the project site, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for optimizing environmental performance.

This role involves:

  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Reviewing and analyzing data from various sources, including environmental monitoring reports and corrective action records
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize environmental performance and minimize waste
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions

Your Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma or bachelor's or advanced degree in an environmental-related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated work experience in environmental monitoring and mitigation, preferably in the context of roadway construction or transit infrastructure projects
  • Certification as a Canadian Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control (CAN-CISEC), or proven proficiency in observing, inspecting, and reporting on the implementation of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
