At Health Careers in Sask, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specimen Collector to join our team. This part-time temporary position is available for 80 hours per 6 weeks rotation with the possibility of reduced hours during statutory holidays.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for collecting and handling specimens, as well as data entry. A valid driver's license is also required where necessary.
In this role, you will work independently, utilizing your intermediate-level data entry skills, basic computer knowledge, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff. You will also need to possess good communication skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this position, you must have a Phlebotomy Applied Certificate and a Grade 12 education. Additionally, completion of a phlebotomy course is beneficial. If you are motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work accurately under pressure, we encourage you to apply.
This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $21.380 to $22.890 (3 step range) within Pay Band 9. As a Laboratory Specimen Collector, you will play a vital role in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients receive accurate diagnoses and treatments.
