About the Role

eTor Networks is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including coaxial lines, fibre optics, and copper cables.
  • Test and Troubleshoot: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Complete Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Determine Work Assignments: Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion of projects.
  • Install Internet Access: Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access for customers.
  • Repair and Replace Equipment: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, as well as splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Work with a variety of equipment and machinery, including coaxial lines, fibre optics, single lines, and copper cables.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
