Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our transportation engineering projects in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering and project management, with experience in managing projects from preliminary design to detailed design and construction.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, as well as mentoring and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage transportation engineering projects from preliminary design to detailed design and construction
  • Lead project teams and mentor staff
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Supervise staff and participate in project completion
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of project management experience and 8+ years of transportation engineering experience
  • Experience with City of Ottawa, MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, Durham Region, and Halton Region
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and Civil3D
  • Understanding of traffic engineering principles
  • Familiarity with Ottawa and/or GTHA market conditions
