Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all food products meet our high quality standards, and that all food safety procedures are followed at all times.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet our standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required, including food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Work Setting
    • Food service establishment, coffee shop, or restaurant.
  • Security and Safety
    • Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Team player.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available for shift or on-call work, and willing to relocate for this position. The work language is English.
