Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

About the Role:
InterMountain Trucking LTD is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials across the country
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition
  • Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle
  • Operate and maintain GPS navigation equipment and other communication systems
  • Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to ensure successful transportation of goods
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Ensure the safe and secure transportation of goods, adhering to all regulations and guidelines
  • Participate in regular vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including extended hours and overnight stays
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to multitask
